Organizers of the Africa International Housing Show have announced a partnership with the Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development for the 19th edition of the event scheduled to be held from July 27 to August 1, 2025 at the Trancorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja.

The statement said this year’s exhibition, themed “Reimagining housing through innovation, collaboration and policy,” aims to highlight sustainable strategies and practical reforms that can accelerate housing delivery across Africa.

“The focus of the 2025 edition will be to address land administration, land reform and land policy, the critical foundations needed to build truly affordable housing,” the report said.

Festus Adebayo, AIHS Coordinator and Founder of Housing TV Africa, noted that this year’s collaboration with the ministry represents a major step forward for the housing and construction sector.

“We are honored to welcome the Honorable Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Mr. Ahmed Dangiwa, as the chief host of this vital edition,” he said.

Mr. Adebayo stressed that the recent elevation of the housing sector to an independent federal ministry has created new momentum to transform Nigeria’s housing landscape.

“This year’s partnership brings new energy and deeper engagement. Together, we aim to unlock access to land, foster local production of building materials, and support innovations that enable affordable housing.”

“AIHS 2025 is expected to be attended by more than 21 countries, with more than 400 exhibitors including top developers, construction professionals, policy leaders and housing finance institutions, and thousands of visitors.

“The event will also foster strategic connections between Nigeria’s free zones and international investors, with a focus on local manufacturing, job creation and public-private cooperation.”

Recognizing that access to land remains a bottleneck for developers and home seekers alike, AIHS 2025 will feature policy dialogue with state governors, housing secretaries, and planning officials.

“The role of state governments in simplifying land ownership and freeing up land for housing development is vital. We want AIHS to be the platform on which real reforms can be agreed and acted upon.”

“This event will include Dangote Cement, IFC World Bank, African Housing Finance Federation, Brains and Hammers, Urban Shelter, MOFI, Nedokomakus, Muchelle Homes, Lafarge, Federal Home Loan Bank of Nigeria, Family Homes Fun We have a strong lineup of supporters including CDK Integrated Industries, Sinoma Nigeria Company Limited, Hall 7, Copen Group, etc. We also have support from international companies and delegations from Dubai, China, UK and Italy.

“Institutional partners include major professional bodies such as the Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria, the Nigerian Association of Housing Corporations, the Urban Planning Institute of Nigeria, the Nigerian Institute of Architects, the Building Institute of Nigeria and the Registered Builders Council of Nigeria,” Adebayo said.
