    Cassava Technologies

Cassava Technologies (www.CassavaTechnologies.com), a global technology leader in African heritage, has announced the launch of the Cassava AI Multi-Model Exchange (CAIMEx), a first-of-its-kind platform designed to give mobile network operators (MNOs) across Africa easy access to world-leading artificial intelligence (AI) tools and large-scale language models (LLM).

The platform serves as a one-stop shop for accessing multiple AI models from providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google. Instead of complex integrations and costly infrastructure, African MNOs can now connect to the most powerful AI technologies through a single, easy-to-use platform managed and supported locally by Cassava.

“With a growing AI ecosystem, Africa has the potential to be more than just a consumer of AI technology imported to the continent. Through CAIMEx, Cassava is building a bridge between global innovation and African ambition, making it easy and affordable for all MNOs to offer world-class AI tools and LLM to their subscribers,” said Ahmed El Beheiry, CEO of Cassava AI.

    CAIMEx supports:

Anthropic’s Claude model Google’s Gemini model and others

Combining these models makes CAIMEx a versatile and future-proof AI hub. The platform allows mobile network operators to choose the model that best fits the needs of their subscribers and enterprises, from fast, real-time intelligence and advanced inference to trusted, ethical decision-making and open-source flexibility. CAIMEx helps organizations unleash the full power of artificial intelligence, delivering speed, scalability, and security, whether it’s driving customer engagement, streamlining operations, or building innovative digital experiences.

CAIMEx also addresses data sovereignty, privacy and compliance requirements and ensures that data remains within Africa. All services are hosted in Cassava’s regional AI factory, ensuring access to high-performance computing, data security, and compliance with local data protection regulations. Additionally, the platform will make AI tools accessible not only to large enterprises, but also to millions of mobile subscribers and small and medium-sized businesses across Africa.

This continued commitment to Africa’s digital future aligns with Cassava’s mission to provide the right digital solutions that enable businesses to transform the lives of their customers.
