(MENAFN- Africa Press Agency) DUBAI, UAE, November 13, 2025/APO Group/ — More than 65 countries exhibiting and 70% of solutions are international, connecting Egyptian construction stakeholders with 2,800 global suppliers and technology providers More than 100 exhibitors will showcase low-carbon solutions, modular construction, energy-efficient systems and prefabricated construction methods that reduce waste and improve resource use.

Across the Middle East, Africa and South Asia, urbanization is reshaping economies at unprecedented speed. More than half of the world’s population currently lives in cities, and that figure is expected to reach nearly 68% by 2050, according to the United Nations ( ), and developing regions such as Egypt are accelerating urban transformation through ambitious construction goals, including the development of fourth-generation cities ( ), sustainable infrastructure, and inclusive housing to accommodate rapid urbanization and economic growth. As project volumes increase, industry leaders are turning to the Big 5 Global ( ) to explore technologies and solutions that strengthen construction supply chains, improve technical efficiency, and promote sustainability.

Big 5 Global brings together participants from over 165 countries, with 70% offering solutions from international companies, connecting Egypt’s construction and urban development ecosystem to a global network of suppliers, manufacturers and technology providers.

“As Egypt continues to expand its construction, infrastructure and urban development ambitions, the Big 5 Global provides an excellent opportunity for local and international stakeholders to connect, explore solutions and strengthen project implementation,” said Ahmed Abdel Fattah, Secretary General of the Building Materials, Refractories and Metallurgy Industry Export Council. “Our continued participation highlights the growing role of Egyptian companies in providing customized, sustainable and technologically advanced construction solutions that meet the country’s modernization goals.”

Strengthening global supply chains for project efficiency

Big 5 Global brings together 2,800 exhibitors and over 60,000 products, services, systems and solutions from around the world to help you run your projects efficiently and reliably.

Germany and Italy’s international pavilions return with expertise in advanced materials such as high-performance concrete, cement, marble and stone systems, while India expands its footprint with advanced MEP and smart construction solutions for large-scale projects across the Middle East and Africa. The revived Austria and Pakistan pavilions will showcase export-ready innovations in modular construction, interiors and MEP systems aimed at reducing costs and streamlining delivery. In addition, exhibitors from Armenia, Croatia, Hungary, Jersey, New Zealand, Norway and Serbia further expand sourcing options for buyers looking for diverse and reliable supply routes.

As supply networks evolve to meet regional demands, technology is driving the next stage of efficiency in project delivery and procurement.

Technology that transforms procurement and project delivery

Digitalization is changing the way projects are procured, managed and executed. At Digital Construction World, global exhibitors such as Autodesk, Nemetschek Group, Odoo, Premier Construction Software, Procore Technologies, RIB Software, and Trimble will showcase technologies that improve visibility and efficiency across the supply chain. Odoo integrates procurement, HR, and operations into one suite, reducing redundancy. Premier Construction Software simplifies cost tracking and project management. Trimble leverages automation to reduce on-site rework by up to 25%, directly improving delivery times and project profitability. And Meter Technology will demonstrate fully integrated digital solutions that will transform surveying and engineering and eliminate decades of inefficiencies.

“Meter transforms surveying and engineering from traditional to technology-driven. As the world’s first fully integrated digital platform, we have eliminated decades of inefficiency. Our AI-powered system completes complex projects across nine countries in less than 48 hours with superior accuracy,” said Ahmed Al-Ansari, Chairman, Founder and CEO of Engineering Meter Technology. Global offers the opportunity to connect with industry leaders and explore sector developments around the world under ‘From the UAE to the World’. Digital innovations in geospatial and engineering form the basis of real estate sustainability. ”

Sustainable manufacturing and smarter material supply

International exhibitors are also rethinking the way they produce, transport and reuse materials to reduce environmental impact while increasing long-term value.

China’s new eco-friendly zone is built entirely from recyclable materials and features low-carbon construction solutions, demonstrating how sustainability can be integrated across the supply chain.

Among the key participants, Grundfos Gulf Distribution is taking a leading role in energy-efficient pumping systems that reduce water and energy usage in commercial and industrial facilities. Deewan Equipment Trading LLC is implementing modular and precast manufacturing plants that reduce waste on site and shorten construction schedules through prefabrication. Hitech Concrete Products introduces precast hollow core and insulated wall systems designed for thermal efficiency and reduced raw material consumption, promoting sustainable construction practices across the region.

GF, a leading provider of MEP solutions and sustainable building technologies, returned to Big 5 Global to showcase advanced systems that support efficient construction workflows and green project delivery. “The region is pursuing one of the most ambitious development programs in the world, and sustainable water management is key to realizing this vision. GF is uniquely positioned to support this progress through our comprehensive solutions portfolio, local presence including manufacturing, off-site manufacturing and customer experience facilities, long-standing regional partnerships, and a dedicated team that understands the market’s unique challenges,” said Michael Lautarkas, GF Executive Committee member and President of GF Building Flow Solutions.

These contributions highlight how collaboration with global manufacturers is helping drive the UAE’s smart city and net zero goals.

“The Big 5 Global continues to connect international manufacturers and regional stakeholders to help strengthen the construction supply chain and drive sustainable growth across the built environment. As the UAE accelerates towards its smart city and net zero goals, these international partnerships bring practical and scalable solutions that support project efficiency, quality and delivery,” said Josin Heimans, vice president of events at dmg.
