Africa Tech Summit Nairobi is proud to announce Fincra, one of the world’s leading payment solutions providers, as the headline supporter of the 8th edition to be held on February 11 and 12, 2026 at Sarit Expo Center. Fincra’s partnership underscores the company’s commitment to building an integrated payments rail for Africa, enabling seamless, secure and interoperable cross-border transactions on the continent and beyond.
The Summit, supported by Fincra, will convene more than 2,000 participants and 1,000 companies across four tracks: Africa Money and DeFi Summit, Africa AI and Digital Summit, Africa Climate Technology and Investment Summit, and Africa Startup Summit.
Over two days, participants will explore the opportunities, trends and policies shaping Africa’s technology ecosystem, bringing together leaders, investors, startups and regulators to drive true partnership and investment.
The Fincra X ATS partnership comes at a pivotal time when building interoperable payment rails is critical to unlocking Africa’s full trade potential.
Wole, CEO of Fincra Ayodele said: “At Fincra, we are excited to see the conversations shaping cross-border payments and fintech on the continent. Through Afincran, a movement for changemakers, we aim to be part of the transformation of this ecosystem. ATS Nairobi 2026 will be a milestone in building infrastructure for an integrated Africa and bringing people together.” We can connect businesses and countries through seamless financial connectivity. ”
According to Oui Capital, Africa’s cross-border payments market is expected to grow from $329 billion in 2025 to $1 trillion by 2035, driven by increased intra-African trade, rapid migration, mobile money penetration, and fintech innovations. However, challenges remain, including high transaction costs, currency volatility, fragmented regulations, repeated compliance processes, inefficient banking infrastructure, and limited interoperability. Africa also has the highest remittance costs in the world, averaging 7.4-8.3%, but only 55% of countries allow electronic KYC.
“Fincra is building the systems that power the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCTA), digital commerce and seamless cross-border payments. By simplifying global payments through APIs, bridging interoperability gaps and strengthening regulatory alignment, Fincra is playing a key role in unlocking Africa’s $3.4 trillion market opportunity.”
Africa Tech Summit Founder Andrew Fassnidge said, “We are delighted to welcome Fincra, our long-time partner, as a headline supporter of African Tech Summit Nairobi 2026. Their passion for building borderless and seamless operations aligns with our goal of driving the growth of African technology ventures globally.” He added: “Payments infrastructure is key to this, and Fincra’s commitment to enabling seamless, interoperable rails is helping to lift the tide across the ecosystem.”
