Business and investment platform Invest Africa is expanding its strategic intelligence partnership with global corporate intelligence and cybersecurity consultancy S-RM for the third year in a row, with both organizations working to support trade and investment flows across Africa amidst increasing geopolitical and regulatory complexity.

The new partnership for 2026 builds on the collaboration established in 2024, with S-RM continuing to provide intelligence, risk analysis and environmental, social and governance (ESG)-related support to Invest Africa’s members and wider business network.

As part of the agreement, S-RM will support three of Invest Africa’s flagship events this year: Invest Africa Mining Series in Cape Town in February, African Debate in London in June, and Africa Debate UAE in Dubai in October. The event aims to convene investors, policy makers and business leaders on sustainable value chains, partnerships and investment opportunities across the continent.

Beyond events, the partnership will focus on providing tailored intelligence to help businesses address political risks, integrity challenges and regulatory changes across African markets.

Invest Africa CEO Chantelle Carrington said the partnership was an important asset to the organization’s network, especially as investors face a more complex global operating environment. She explained that this collaboration will provide critical insights and solutions in a rapidly evolving business environment and support informed investment decisions across Africa.

Carrington noted that S-RM has helped raise the bar for 2025’s flagship events, from the Mining Series to the Africa Debate in London and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). She expressed enthusiasm for continuing to work together to develop opportunities and foster sustainable growth across Africa.

Matt Venturas, S-RM’s Sub-Saharan Head of Corporate Intelligence, said the firm looks forward to deepening its two-year collaboration with investors and businesses operating across Africa, the UK and the UAE. He explained that this update marks the beginning of a new year as Invest Africa’s intelligence partner, with whom he has worked closely for the past two years.

Venturas said the partnership will expand its network and open opportunities across Africa, the UK and the UAE in 2025. The company expects to build on these successes in 2026 through this important partnership, he added.

The new collaboration will emphasize actionable intelligence tailored to the evolving geopolitical and regulatory landscape. Both organizations will curate strategic events, thought leadership and insights to inform organizations seeking to invest in Africa.

With 20 years of experience in Africa, S-RM helps Invest Africa’s network navigate opportunities and risks across the continent using industry-leading intelligence, resilience and response solutions. The consultancy is permanently present on the African continent and currently has more than 50 experts working in the field.

Founded in 2005, S-RM provides enterprise intelligence and cyber security services to organizations operating in high-risk, complex environments. The company serves customers in all regions and major sectors around the world and has approximately 400 professionals worldwide.

Invest Africa was founded more than 70 years ago and connects more than 400 member companies with investment opportunities across Africa through events, intelligence and advisory services. The platform facilitates trade and investment across the continent, serving a network of global organizations, individual investors, fund managers, family offices, policy makers and entrepreneurs.

The partnership will deliver strategic insights, customized research and thought leadership throughout 2026, giving investors the tools they need to operate with confidence in a dynamic and complex market.

Africa’s increasing reliance on digital technologies, coupled with an evolving regulatory, business, political, ESG and cyber threat landscape, highlights the importance of actionable intelligence and cyber resilience in driving sustainable economic growth.

The February 2026 Mining Series in Cape Town will operate under the theme: Unlocking Potential: Investing in Sustainable Value Chains, Growth and Innovation. The Africa Debate in June in London will focus on ‘Redefining Partnerships: Navigating a World in Transition’. These events foster strong dialogue and cooperation across sectors to boost trade and investment across the continent.

The new partnership comes as African markets continue to attract interest from global investors seeking long-term opportunities in energy, mining, infrastructure and emerging value chains. However, investors must contend with increasingly complex political, economic and environmental risks, creating dynamic and multifaceted challenges for those doing business in Africa and beyond.

As a trusted entry point to doing business in Africa, Invest Africa leverages the integrity and fast, carefully-gained insight into operational risk provided by S-RM to navigate business decisions and policies. The combination of S-RM’s intelligence and strategic support and Invest Africa’s established network will help business leaders and investors make critical decisions, ultimately enabling them to confidently avoid risk and build resilient businesses on the African continent.

For the past 20 years, supporting investment across Africa has been at the heart of S-RM’s business. The focus of the consultancy’s partnership is to provide industry-leading intelligence, resilience and response solutions to Invest Africa’s member network.

This partnership reflects the growing recognition that success in African markets requires not only capital and ambition, but also a sophisticated understanding of local conditions, political dynamics, regulatory frameworks and operational risks. By combining Invest Africa’s convening power and network with S-RM’s on-the-ground intelligence capabilities, this collaboration aims to reduce uncertainty and enable more confident and informed investment decisions.
