Stockholm, Sweden, 2026-03-02 – White Pearl Technology Group AB (WPTG), a global Swedish technology company, today announced that it has won a contract worth SEK 25 million from a private South African company, validating its strategic direction.

These recent contracts secured by WPTG subsidiaries Afrison and Premier Brands prove that the WPTG model, with its Swedish-backed governance, international reach and cross-platform strategy, can transform local carriers into nationally competitive infrastructure companies.

Evolving into a business that can win nationwide bidding

When White Pearl Technology Group acquires a business, it does more than just add space to its balance sheet; it exports a fundamentally different standard of operating discipline to that business. Afrison and Premier Brands are the latest proof of that proposition. Both join White Pearl Africa’s Smart Infrastructure division as talented and regionally respected operators. Under Swedish ownership and with access to group governance frameworks, institutional-level risk management and tailored cross-selling platforms, these companies have evolved into companies capable of winning and executing national-scale bids against international competition.

Establishing ourselves as a full-spectrum infrastructure technology provider

Afrison’s award of the SANRAL N3 Intelligent Highway Lighting contract, scheduled for delivery in the second quarter, is emblematic of this transformation. Competing with established international companies and winning on technology and delivery reliability would have been unrealistic for an independent South African SME. Powered by White Pearl’s platform, which integrates OEM manufacturing, IoT data intelligence, and digital overlay capabilities, Afrison has the potential to position itself as a full-spectrum infrastructure technology provider rather than a hardware vendor. The initial R8 million award opens a corridor with tens of millions of rand potential as the N3 program expands between Pietermaritzburg and Durban.

Group membership enables commercial trust and technical depth

Premier Brands is telling a similar story with energy infrastructure. Competing for Eskom’s PV and battery energy storage deployment and securing the largest allocation among all successful bidders reflects the commercial confidence and technical depth that group membership enables. The R35-million pilot agreement, to be signed within six months, is the entry point into a program that will see around 300 further Eskom sites identified for rollout over the next two to three years. Without the platform White Pearl has built, that pipeline would be less visible, much less accessible.

    Deliberate Group Strategy Results

Importantly, these are not isolated victories, but the result of deliberate group strategies. White Pearl’s model is to hire companies with proven domain expertise and offer them things that few developing market operators have: disciplined capital allocation, conservative financial management, a structured cross-selling framework, and a platform to explore markets far beyond their domestic footprint. Lighting, energy, IoT and data analytics are currently offered as part of the companies’ unified offer, with additional cross-sectoral mandates being granted in later stages of negotiations, with further announcements expected soon. The Group’s SADC regional expansion program is actively underway, with governments and utilities across the subcontinent engaging White Pearl Africa as a trusted, bankable infrastructure technology partner.
