Aberdeen, Scotland, 17 November 2025: The Scottish African Business Association (SABA) (www.AfricaScot.com/) is pleased to announce that Every is sponsoring Scotland London Africa Week 2025. Every will be supporting the Scotland-Africa Networking Reception at Dover House, courtesy of the Secretary of State for Scotland, Douglas Alexander MP and the Secretary of State for Scotland. A Commonwealth briefing session with selected African heads of delegation will be held later this week. Their contributions strengthen the program and reflect our shared commitment to developing meaningful trade and commercial relationships between Scotland and African markets.

Scotland London Africa Week has quickly become one of the most important platforms connecting business leaders, investors and institutions with opportunities across the continent. Last year’s event welcomed senior government and industry representatives and provided focused market insight sessions to help build new commercial partnerships that are already delivering value. Momentum is only increasing, with nearly 20 Scottish companies already confirmed to take part in this year’s programme, and over 150 Africa-specific participants, interest continues to accelerate.

International trade remains an important driver of economic growth. For Scotland and our African partners alike, increased collaboration supports jobs, innovation and long-term resilience. As global dynamics change and supply chains diversify, there is a clear need for agile partnerships and reliable financial infrastructure to support cross-border expansion. At SABA, we are seeing a growing desire by Scottish organizations across sectors such as energy, shipping and ports, agriculture, education and skills training and aquaculture to deepen their engagement with African markets. Meanwhile, African economies continue to expand rapidly, offering significant opportunities for high-quality investments and partnerships.

Ebury’s involvement reflects the organization’s strategic interest in supporting global business flows. As a global financial services provider specializing in international trading, FX and Trade Finance Ebury offers world-class capabilities to help businesses explore and expand African markets. Diageo’s continued support will strengthen collaboration between leading international organizations and Scotland’s African business community.

Fraser Lang, chief executive of the Scottish African Business Association, said:

“Scotland London Africa Week is now an important platform for dialogue and action and we are delighted to have Every as a sponsor. Their expertise and global reach are perfectly aligned with our mission to unlock trade and investment with the African continent. The success of last year’s event demonstrated our appetite for deeper collaboration and we look forward to building on this with an even stronger program this year.”

Phil Monkhouse, UK Country Manager for Ebury, said:

“Africa continues to be one of the most dynamic regions for trade and investment, and Scottish organizations have much to offer. By partnering with SABA on Scotland London Africa Week, we are supporting businesses who want to connect with high-growth markets and enter the international stage with confidence. We look forward to contributing our insights and practical support to help businesses make the most of these opportunities.”

SABA continues to position Scotland as a reliable partner for African countries and a significant contributor to trade and development across priority sectors. Every partnership reinforces the importance of effective financial solutions that support successful cross-border growth.

Distributed by APO Group on behalf of the Scottish African Business Association (SABA). About the Scottish African Business Association (SABA):
SABA is a preeminent apolitical, Africa-focused member trade organization with an unparalleled and experienced Board of Directors, leveraging its extensive commercial, trade, political and government links across Scotland and Africa to foster trade, investment and knowledge sharing between Scotland’s world-class expertise and Africa’s priority sectors including energy, agriculture, the blue economy, healthcare, skills training and education.

As part of this, our team organizes private meetings, roundtables, seminars, conferences and global trade missions, and provides market research, information sharing and consulting services.
