    Kwara hosts Artificial Intelligence Summit

    Kwara State is moving towards the 2025 Artificial Intelligence (AI) Summit as Nigeria’s next major force in technology and innovation.

    The summit, organized by the Kwara State Government and Ilorin Innovation Hub in partnership with leading technology development institutions, is scheduled to be held from November 27 to 28, 2025 at the Ilorin Innovation Hub, Ilorin, Kwara State, according to a leadership report.

    But this summit, titled “AI in Harmony: Bridging People, Policies and Potential,” will be a defining moment in Nigeria’s AI and digital transformation landscape.

    Speaking on the importance of the summit to the nation, the Director, Ilorin Innovation Hub, Mr. Temi Kolawole, said the summit is not just an event but a statement of intent.
    According to Kolawole, Kwara is committed to digital transformation, youth empowerment and innovation, making it an ideal environment for dialogue on deepening AI in Nigeria.

    “Kwara has spent the past few years laying the foundation for a bold digital future, and Kwara AI Summit 2025 is a reflection of how far we have come.

    This summit is more than just an event, it’s a statement of intent. We are building an open, inclusive and globally competitive innovation ecosystem and look forward to welcoming the world to Ilorin and experiencing the new possibilities emerging from our state. ”

    “We thank God for Governor Abdul Rahman Abdulrazaq who was instrumental in making Kwara a true technology hub in Africa.

    Artificial intelligence continues to reshape industries around the world, from health, agriculture, governance and creative industries to education and finance, making it imperative for Nigeria to deploy AI responsibly and strategically.

    “This summit will serve as a platform to explore how AI can contribute to inclusive development, economic expansion, and talent development across countries. Kwara’s commitment to digital transformation, youth empowerment, and innovation makes it the ideal setting for a conversation of this scale and importance.”

    “Participation in Kwara AI Summit 2025 is completely free and open to everyone.

    Highlights the state’s commitment to accessibility and inclusive capacity building. ”

    Kolawole further said that the Kwara AI Summit 2025 aims to strengthen Kwara’s position as Africa’s emerging AI hub and stimulate policy-making discussions on safe and inclusive AI adoption.

    “Kwara AI Summit 2025 will be driven by four key pillars: talent and talent, policy and policy.

    AI for governance, innovation and industry, and development. through high level

    Conversations, practical workshops, exhibitions, hackathons, startup showcases, collaborative sessions and more.

    “The objective of this event is to strengthen Kwara’s position as Africa’s emerging AI hub, foster policy-making discussions on safe and inclusive AI adoption, connect governments with academia and the private sector, provide visibility and opportunity for startups and innovators, and provide participants with a true hands-on learning experience.”
