Africa Prosperity Network (APN) has launched a continent-wide logo design competition as part of “Make Africa Borderless Now!” The campaign aims to engage young creators in visualizing a united and integrated Africa.
Speaking on the initiative, APN Chief Executive Officer Siddig Ertoum said the campaign is a defining moment in Africa’s path to integration. “We are enlisting Africa’s creative talent to help us visualize what an Africa without borders could look like: a visa-free continent where trade, talent and culture flow unimpeded,” he said.
The competition is open to professional designers, students, and amateur creators of African descent from around the world. Participants are asked to submit logos that reflect continental unity, cultural diversity, youth-led innovation, economic transformation under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), and a common pan-African identity.
According to APN, the winning design will be announced at the Africa Prosperity Dialogue (APD) 2026 press conference in Accra on January 26, 2026, with a prize of US$1,000.
The official campaign launch will take place from February 4 to 6, 2026 at the Accra International Conference Center. Submissions must be completed by January 23, 2026.

The “Make Africa Borderless Now!” campaign is part of a broader citizen-led effort to collect 10 million signatures from Africans on the continent and in the diaspora. These signatures will be presented to African Heads of State and Government at the 40th African Union General Assembly in Addis Ababa in February 2027.
The campaign targets 12 priority areas, including visa-free travel, open skies, digital trade integration, cross-border mobile money interoperability, mutual recognition of skills, and the establishment of a unified African customs union.
According to APN, the movement seeks to address what is known as the African paradox, in which it is often easier for non-Africans to travel within the continent than for Africans themselves.
Mr. Eltoum added that this initiative provides a platform for African youth to contribute to shaping the continent’s future. “This is an opportunity for our young people and creative professionals to play a direct role in Africa’s integration, innovation and economic empowerment,” he said.
Themed “Empowering SMEs, Women and Youth in Africa’s Single Market: Innovation, Cooperation and Trade”, APD 2026 will bring together leaders, entrepreneurs and policy makers from across Africa to drive economic integration and prosperity.
