MAG Group for Investment and Trade has announced expansion in several African countries following the signing of new agreements with Chad, Sierra Leone and Burkina Faso.
The agreement covers projects in the infrastructure, mining, health and development sectors as part of a broader effort to strengthen economic cooperation between Egypt and African markets.
MAG Group Chairman Mohamed Atta Gad said the company operates through an integrated economic model that combines mining, industry, logistics, trade, infrastructure and food production. He noted that this approach supports long-term development partnerships across the continent, while strengthening Egypt’s economic presence in Africa.
In the mining sector, Atta Gad said MAG Group has signed an agreement with the Republic of Chad that grants the company concessions for the extraction and development of economically valuable minerals. The project will be implemented using advanced exploration and processing techniques and in line with international environmental and technical standards.
The concession area contains strategic minerals such as gold, silver, zinc and lead, as well as antimony, which are widely used in the energy, electronics and high technology industries. He added that the value of the global mining market is approaching US$220 billion.
The group has deployed a specialized team of geologists and geophysicists with advanced surveying and electromagnetic exploration systems to identify mineral reserves and assess production potential.
